(HONS) was the first in Dublin to receive a complete accreditation of the Royal Institute of Architects (RIAI) in 2005. It is also recognized under the 2005/36/CE European Directive. Learning architecture in an accredited program is the first step to become a registered professional architect.

Waterford’s architectural education consists mainly of developing all “design” students so that they can gather challenging creative challenges that face the future world of construction. Students are introduced with proposed methodologies and work in the study in the environment, where they explore the complexity of growing architectural designs as they advance.
