Produced on a separate, specialized line at Volvo Cars’s Torsland plant in Gothenburg, Sweden, the new XC90 Excellency is available exclusively with Volvo’s T8 Twin Powertrain and built on the modular scalable product architecture (SPA) platform as a tailored four-seat, providing absolute luxury to some of the four occupants.

All four seats in the XC90 Excellency are up to highest Volvo standards of comfort, and each presents heating, ventilation and massage functionality. The put on Nappa leather on the chairs matches the fine Nappa leather on the doors and panel, off-fixed with an authentic open porous walnut and real aluminum. As in existing XC90 T8 twin engines derivatives, the plugin hybrid XC90 Excellency also has a unique Orrefors crystal selector.

A built-in foot rests on the floor also raises comfort levels, and comfort is increased by two additional stock pockets and arm a resting glove box.
Additional entertainment is run by standard suitable tablets on the front seats, and twin folding tray tables, which have gloriously complex drawing elements, to enable the work to carry out during the move. 230V -power outlet is also available for loading laptops and similar devices during a move, increased by two USB ports.
Cup handles are heated and cooled, and a refrigerator is located between the two rear chairs. Volvo’s partnership with the famous Swedish glass movie, Orrefors, continues beyond only the Kit Levi in the XC90 Excellency-Two-Delicate handmade orrephores crystal champagne flutes are included, which have a unique stem, matched by distinct, special cups in the central console and on each passage table.

Another unique aspect in the excellence XC90 is the rear seat control panel, which is hidden neatly in the back console. Accessible from each of the rear passengers, the extended panel enables touch-based control of seat, heating and cooling, and massage functions.
A glass partition separates the passenger compartment in the XC90 -Excellency, which enhances isolation but retains the meaning of space. With the removal of the third row of seats, suitcases in the XC90 -Excellency range from 431 liters (with suitcase covers) to 726 liters (loaded to roof height).
The XC90 Excellency also perfectly matches its smooth, quiet and technologically advanced T8 twin engine train. Above forward, 235 kW/ 400 nm overloaded and turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cilidal drive-E gasoline engine power the front wheels, with an 8-speed geric gear transmission. In the rear, the electric rear axis system (ERAD), which is fed by a battery of 9.2 kWh, sees 65 kW/ 240 NM electric motor operating the rear wheels-enabled all wheel drive when needed. Total output is 300 kW and 640 Nm, and the vehicle is capable of changing perfectly between both engines depending on requirements and driver input.
As with other T8 -friendly engines XC90 deer, three main drive modes are available in the XC90 -Excellence: pure, hybrid and power. When you run on electrical power alone in pure or hybrid regimes, the XC90 -Excellency is a particularly quiet and relaxed shrine. Extra sound isolation ensures that even when the burning engine switches in hybrid or power modes, noise levels remain impressively low.
