Tech News Egypt – The renovated strategy, presented together with a number of main public-private initiatives, Egypt as a growing strategic center for AI-OPERATION INNOVATION, Arab world and global technology ecosystems.

The Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), under the leadership of Minister Amra Talaat, began the second edition of the Egyptian Strategy of the National Artific Intelligence (AI) (2025–2030). Strategy is a key progress in the Egyptian ambitions of digital transformation, establishing a country to a course to become a strategic center of AI for Africa, the Arab world and international technological ecosystems.

The updated strategy presents multidimensional frames built about six strategic pillars: management, technology, data, infrastructure, ecosystem and talent. These fundamental elements are aimed at ensuring ethical and influential implementation of artificial intelligence in key sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture and public service.

At the same time, the government has committed to developing clear regulatory standards and solid data management frames, ensuring that AI’s reception is both safe and integration.

The launch coincides with a wave of public-private cooperation strengthening the growing Egyptian profile in the global AI economy.

Capgemini, a French multinational technology company, announced the establishment of the AI perfection center in Cairo, aimed at scaling AI generative and agency solutions for global markets. The company intends to double its Egyptian workforce to over 1, 200 employees by the end of 2025, it is expected that the Egyptian ability to export advanced digital services will increase.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has formalized the national partnership with the government, committing to training and certification of 100,000 people – including youth and civilian officials – in artificial intelligence technologies. The program is already in progress and supports wider domestic goals in the field of talent development and building digital abilities.

Thanks to a coherent national vision, international partnerships and growing international investments, Egypt is actively positioned as profitable and rich talents of the AI Innovation Center. Minister Amr Talaat emphasized that the strategy is not only a political document, but an action plan. When the global race for Supremacja AI accelerates, Egypt’s involvement in infrastructure, education and regulatory readiness signals the intention to lead another wave of digital transformation in the Mena region and outside.

Egypt Charts 5g Future With $2.7b Investment And Global Partnerships

While visiting the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and the Minister of Communication AMR Talaat were informed by the general director of ITIDY El Zaher about the impressive development of the digital country.

El Zaher revealed that Egyptian digital exports increased to $ 6.2 billion in 2023, which reflects a significant increase of $ 26.5% from $ 4.9 billion in 2022. He emphasized the strategic concentration of Itida on positioning of Egypt as a world leader in the field of outsourcing and technological innovation.

El Zaher emphasized that the export of outsourcing in Egypt has increased from $ 2.4 billion to $ 3.7 billion in the last year, driven by national benefits. These include a highly qualified, multilingual workforce and profitable services that make Egypt an attractive place on global markets.

“Egypt offers one of the most competitive outsourcing environments around the world,” said El Zaher, emphasizing the role of Itida in supporting innovation and creating jobs in various sectors.

Fifteen promising Egyptian technological startups presented its groundbreaking innovations during the launch of the first issue of Invest-Im, a nationwide program run by the Center for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TUC)-Associations of the Information Industry Development Agency (ITIDA)-in cooperation with Flat6labs, leading seeds and early crafty.
