Technology Management Columbia University – Laura Kudia, ’21, is a chief executive technology management of American Express team, corporate system, and technology strategies. The role of Kudia includes a high -level idea from CIO to a practical degree in its direct report. She talks about her experience in Paris and the advice of her joint programs in conjunction with the executive mentor. What is the reason for the exercise of masters in technology management? I have been working for 10 years, but I realized that I had to fill some important skill gaps to move my career. The Colombian Executive Technology Management Program has provided the necessary flexibility to continue to work and learn these skills. In addition, the global view of the program was very attractive to me. Which course, event, or teachers helped to improve important skills? I took two outstanding courses. The first was accounting and technology finance. In order to better understand companies and to maximize resources, we investigated the key concepts of financial decisions. The second was the security of enterprise information with Dr. Corey Hirsch. The class really has a foundation for how to protect and strengthen corporate data security. I was interested in this topic from the pandemic. If Covid-19 had one advantage, there were more opportunities for women to be in charge. Dr. Hillch Method for us is basically interdisciplinary but extremely diverse. Please tell us about your experience in Paris. The highlight of the program was to co -operate with colleagues of Paris friends. They were only great students. They came from various backgrounds, such as retail, media, technology, and finance, and gave a unique insight inside and outside the classroom. My child is an incredible support system. I am sure that I have a friendship who was then taken for my life. Tell us about your career journey and how you came to your leadership in American Express. Before I arrived on the program, my technical role was largely and I focused on fitness and fitness navigation for customers. When I started thinking about my next career, I realized that a balanced understanding of technology management was extremely important to take the next step. Technical management is a multi -faceted area, including distribution strategies and people. The Colombian executive program created a strong foundation for these concepts that allow you to lead an organization in all aspects of the business. What was your experience of your experience with a mentor? The unique thing about this program is that it is in line with the executive mentor. My mentor helped me reflect on my unique economic trade and economic circumstances. It helped me prepare for the moment when I had to sell and sell my business model. He worked with me, he stood confidently, and was willing to communicate the economy clearly and clearly behind my project. It challenged all aspects of the park and asked that I would not think. I think I am lucky to have a mentor in life. What kind of impact would you like your career? When I think of the impact I want to do, I look at some of the leaders on high -tech companies. The best leader is the number of power. They make everyone around them in their roles. In my life, like many people, it goes back to people. We are motivated and optimized to work for employees, and all of us are together. What kind of advice do you have for future students who want to succeed in the role of leadership in the technology industry? We will provide two advice to future students. Firstly, be aware that you are responsible for the world, and it will only happen through sensible and ethical decisions. New technology is a very powerful force, and it is necessary to confirm that it is a good power. We have had the world technology around us. We have the ethical responsibility to do the right thing to the public and create a responsible solution. Secondly, we accept Tenshi obility. I do not know when the company’s management will change. It is very important to foster mentors as women in this industry. My mentor continues and I get in touch with me. It is a great asset for my professional toolkit, and helps to navigate all professional issues. When I was working on the main new business model I developed, my mentor asked questions I didn’t think and helped me prepare. He worked with me and helped investors the confidence that was necessary to present my project to the best possible light. Detailed Technology Management of the Colombian executive M.S.
